We have a million different avenues that we picture our lives taking. We wake up with racing thoughts, and ambition to make everyday count. We follow a handful of different “motivational” accounts on IG and always stay updated on the latest inspirational podcasts.
THIS is the mindset of a boss.
Now the hard part is – how the hell am I going to accomplish all of the ideas that I have stirring up in my mind?
For me, organizing is key. I am easily overwhelmed, so writing my month out in advance helps eliminate some of those feelings. I know that everyone and their mother is about ~ living in the present ~ But sometimes you need to be strict with yourself and create a schedule.
Remember: self discipline = self love
So with that being said, a few weeks ago I decided to crack down and write out my short-term & long-term goals. This helped me to narrow my focuses, and take small actions to create something bigger. I created a template on Canva and printed it out so I could look at it when I feel off track.
I have the tendency to be a bit flakey when it comes to making plans. I over commit, and in the past it usually results in a burn out (aka a huge mental breakdown on the couch covered in brownie brittle).
So, another HUGE organization hack is using Google Calendars. I specifically love this calendar app because 1. It’s free, and 2. I am a fiend for color code 🤤.
Lately, I have been putting everything from work, to making time for grocery shopping into my google calendar. That way I know that I’m not overextending myself. Canceling plans always leads to someone getting let down. Using this has been a GAME CHANGER for my social life and self care!
